Three-phase gate driver IC:Texas Instruments DRV3245A Circuit Analysis Report
Package | Package X-Ray | Chip Overview |
General information
Gate drivers installed in electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles are required to have high functional safety as well as to reduce the number of components and mounting area.
DRV3245A, launched from Texas Instruments, has three half-bridge drivers that enable advanced FET safeguarding and monitoring, and a charge pump driver that enables 100% duty-cycle can support lower battery-voltage when cold-cranked.
In this report, the circuit of the red-framed part [HS Driver, N-Well Voltage Supply1, LS Driver, N-Well Voltage Supply2, Current Sense Amplifier] shown in Chip Overview were analyzed and clarified the circuit configuration.
