Overview

• Anker, a leading manufacturer of compact chargers, released a high-power-density charger on August 27, 2022.
• The charger switched from Power Integrations’ conventional solution with GaN-integrated power IC to SOUTHCHIP’s control IC and GaN element separation arrangement.
• By adopting the separated arrangement of the power IC, the newly created space is effectively utilized, optimizing the circuit structure.
• While there are differences between single-output and multiple-output versions, this product has approximately 200 components, compared to Anker Nano II (65W) with around 100 components.
• The USB-C sub-board includes not only the USB-C charging control IC but also three NMOS switches.
