Report summary

MLCCs are used for noise reduction and power supply assistance, and the number of them being installed in electronic devices is increasing dramatically, making them essential components. Early smartphones had about 100 of them, however iPhone X (2017) had about 1,000 of them. The latest iPhone 15 pro Max (2023) had approximately 1,500 MLCCs mounted on the printed circuit board.

 The layout of iPhone 15 Pro Max printed circuit board is analyzed and clarified the connection information the MLCC and other key ICs including size/quantity/capacity of each MLCC in this report. Furthermore layout viewer software is provided in order to allow you to easily check the connection information.
