Overview
Recently the integrated ECU that centralizes ECUs (electronic control units) scattered across vehicles called Body Controller(BC) is used in several vehicles. The BC has many advantages, such as efficient control of units such as sensors and motors, and reduction of wiring harnesses, and manufacturers are moving toward integration of automotive ECU. Tesla has stared to use BC in their Model 3.
This BYD SEAL (2022) uses a platform called e-Platform 3.0 like the Tesla Model 3, it has three BCs: Left Unit, Right Unit, and Rear Unit.
